  1. Did you know Matt Damon grew up next door to Howard Zinn? I feel the same way Damon does about Obama: he broke up with me. I keep hoping it’s not really so, but the evidence is getting harder and harder to refute.

  2. May I suggest you both read Walter Karp’s Indispensable Enemies: The Politics of Misrule in America? Although I revisited it a little more than a year ago, I first read it in the early 70s. It strikes me as relevant today as it was then. It’s certainly why my support for Obama was qualified and critical; there really was no realistic alternative.
